Disinfection
In high-risk areas – or during a pandemic – cleaning alone is not enough. You also need to disinfect. In order to be able to provide you with a comprehensive range of disinfectants, Wetrok serves as the general representative of various reputable hygiene product manufacturers in Switzerland: Lysoform, Sterisol, Dr. Angele, etc. Incidentally, a large proportion of the disinfectants marketed by Wetrok are produced in Switzerland. However, we not only want to present the products, but also the two most common methods of disinfection:
All you need to disinfect small surfaces and equipment (e.g. door handles, desks, support handles on care beds, etc.) is a disposable cloth and an alcohol-based disinfectant. The disposable system prevents cross-contamination and the spreading of germs. Alternatively, you can use a pre-soaked cloth (Hospisept cloth) .

All you need to disinfect floors is a suitable disinfection mop and disinfectant. As part of the 4-field test (EN 16615), Wetrok had its Care mop tested in combination with the disinfectants Lysoform Aldosan 2000 and Lysoformin Special, and with great success! According to the test results, the combined use of Lysoform Aldosan 2000 or Lysoformin Special with the mop guarantees effective bactericidal and yeasticidal disinfection results. Wetrok recommends wiping down the room with a duster beforehand to ensure maximum hygiene.

Due to the current pandemic, we have received various enquiries as to whether surface disinfection is also possible with our scrubber-dryer machine. Our application technicians have tinkered, tested and experiments with various options in various different types of building. The result: it is possible! Wetrok has developed a new method for this purpose: The disinfectant is evenly applied using a mop attachment on the scrubber-dryer, systematically and efficiently killing microorganisms on larger surfaces.

Where should you clean, where should you disinfect – and where should you do both? There are no simple answers to these questions. They depend on many factors – such as the usage patterns in the respective property. Regular cleaning of highly frequented floors, surfaces and touch points helps minimise the hygiene risk, as does regular hand washing with soap. Additional disinfection of surfaces, equipment and floors is recommended for high-risk areas, however. The following table summarises the basic recommendations from Wetrok:
